BUYME Zambia has launched an online used vehicle marketplace, the first of its kind in the country.
According to company chairman Davy Nanduba, the online marketplace accessible on www.buyme.co.zm was expected to change the distribution of used vehicles in Zambia.
The buyme.co.zm marketplace is a comprehensive website platform that allows multiple vehicle sellers and car spare part dealers across Zambia, both individual and corporates such as direct vehicle importers, to meet directly with customers online and discuss their transaction.
"The internet has continued to shape the way we do business in this day and age by making life easy and better for citizens…Buyers of vehicles and/or car spare parts can compare and review different seller offerings on the market, make inquiries on a listing and to place an order. Most interestingly, buyers can even make a counter offer on a listing. Payments are made off the site after a buyer has checked their ordered item and are satisfied," stated Nanduba in a statement issued yesterday.
The site has so far listed several individual private car sellers and direct Japan vehicle importers such as Jan Japan Zambia, Shah Motors and Bwinjimfumo Motors, among others.
Some providers of car components such as the Windscreen Shop and Tyres Africa have also been listed on the new local online market platform.
"From the many applications we have received in the past four days and a reprocessing, we except that many car sellers and auto shops across Zambia will be listed on the market within this month. It is important for buyers to note that buyme.co.zm does not sell any vehicle; it simply is a market place. Any communication on the platform takes place directly between vehicle buyers and sellers," stated Nanduba.
