RENOWNED comedian Bob Nkosha and colleagues have released a stand up comedy DVD titled Dorika and The Big Dudes.

Meanwhile, actor-comedian Phakeni Makhowani now being referred to as Pacman Wakuyi tonight returns to the stage with a presentation of Tiseke Comedy Night at Lusaka's Chezela Pub and Grill in Roma township.

Released under Bob Nkosha and Associates in partnership with Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, SBM Boutique and MTN, Dorika and The Big Dudes is a collection of past stage performances by Nkosha and four other local comedians.

Nkosha features prominently on the one-hour 40 minute DVD and opens with a performance in front of a live audience filmed at the Lusaka Playhouse during the 'Kings of Comedy' shows. Nkosha later appears as Dorika, a prostitute that shares unique experiences of her lifestyle.

The 'big dudes' comprise Isaac Chamba, Patrick 'Saulosi' Salubusa from the Ifyabukaya fame, Aubrey Luo and Joseph Simukonda who was famously known as 'Ba Nonde' in the Copperbelt-produced soap "Loose Ends."

According to co-ordinator of the project, the DVD is out in major leading stores and pegged at K50,000.

And Phakeni brings stand up comedy dubbed Tiseke Comedy to Roma's Chezela Pub tonight after a recent hiatus from stage appearances. Popularly known for his roles in the early seasons of the Kabanana soap, Club Risky Business and My Country, Phakeni was also a contestant in the 2008 M-Net Stand Up Zambia comedy series.

Phakeni, who will be supported by fellow comedians Isaac Chamba and Aubrey Luo as well as musicians Exile and Cactus Agony, promises a good show.
